FEARS, PHOBIAS & O.C.D.

The inner-ear origin of fears, phobias, mood, panic, and obsessive/compulsive disorders was discovered by "accident." Patients with Dyslexia or ADD responding favorably to inner-ear-improving medications reported to Dr. Levinson that their fears, phobias, mood, and anxiety symptoms either significantly improved or disappeared as did their dyslexic and ADD symptoms.

Eventually, Dr. Levinson demonstrated inner-ear mechanisms responsible for the following fears, phobias, etc.:

Heights

Needles or knives

Flying or driving

Snakes, mice or bugs

Buses, trains, or boats

The water

The dark

Telephones

Loud noises

Sports

School

Choking

Motion

Elevators

Traveling or new places

Bridges or tunnels

Suffocating

Crowds

Small enclosed spaces

Public speaking

Wide-open spaces

Sleeping

Stairs or escalators

Sex

Bright lights
